New Zealand to
London over the past two
years. As I had mislaid my Restricted Radio Operators Licence I
thought it appropriate to obtain a copy during a short visit back to
New Zealand. To that end I contacted Radio Spectrum Management in
Wellington to see what
could be done. They were polite but were unable to locate the
document concerned and suggested I re-sit the examination which I
was happy to do.
Fortunately for us I contacted Callsigns NZ who was listed on the RSM
website.
In less than 36 hours Callsigns NZ had found my old licence reference,
issued a new call sign and a new MMSI number. This included
personally visiting us where we were staying with our daughter to
complete minimal paperwork and take a photograph for the licence.
All the detail including a new licence and certificate was delivered
to us electronically.
Callsigns NZ's attitude and service level was exemplary. It is what most organisations try to aspire to but never achieve. We were most
grateful that Callsigns NZ had reinstated our documentation so smoothly and
with little effort on our part.
